A clay pan tile roof brought a perfect blend of heritage and durability to the old barn we transformed into a gym just outside Lavenham, Suffolk.

The building had great character but needed a roof that respected its rural charm while giving it the strength and weather protection a modern space demands. Laying the clay pans restored the barn’s traditional silhouette, and the warm, earthy tones of the tiles now sit beautifully against the surrounding countryside. The result is a gym that feels both contemporary and rooted in local history, with a roof built to last for decades.
